Roslyn Pineda Appointed President, Asia At Sony Music Publishing As Carol Ng Retires

Sony Music Publishing has appointed Roslyn Pineda as President, Asia, effective immediately, succeeding Carol Ng, who will retire at the end of March after a long tenure leading the company’s Asian operations. In her new role, Pineda will oversee creative and business strategy across multiple Asian territories, strengthen relationships with songwriters and industry partners, and expand support for the publisher’s roster in the region.

Based in Hong Kong, Pineda reports to Guy Henderson, President, International at Sony Music Publishing. She joins the publisher from Sony Music, where she most recently served as General Manager, Philippines and earlier was Vice President, Artist Relations & Business Development, Asia.

Pineda has worked in the music business since 2001, holding roles in both Hong Kong and the Philippines. Her achievements include reopening Sony Music’s Philippines office, signing acts such as Ben&Ben, SB19 and IV OF SPADES, leading the acquisition of the ABS-CBN music catalogue in 2024, and being named Billboard Philippines’ first Music Industry Executive of the Year in 2025.

Carol Ng joined Sony Music Publishing in 1998 and rose through finance and leadership roles before becoming President, Asia in 2021. Under her leadership the company expanded across the region with new offices in Jakarta and Bangkok, and plans for a presence in Manila.

Pineda said she looks forward to working with Henderson and Jon Platt to empower songwriters across Asia and foster creativity and innovation in the region’s publishing landscape.
