Preeti S Nayyar Signs Off From Universal Music Group After Nearly A Decade

Preeti S Nayyar has announced her exit from Universal Music Group, bringing to a close a transformative nine-year journey with the global music major.

Sharing the update on LinkedIn, Nayyar described her tenure as “unprecedented” and the most defining phase of her professional life. Reflecting on the experience, she highlighted the full spectrum of learning,from the humility shaped by failures to the pride and fulfilment that success brings.

A key highlight of her stint was building UMG For Brands India from the ground up, a move that strengthened the company’s brand partnerships and marketing ecosystem in the country. She credited her teams and collaborators for making the journey meaningful, expressing pride in what was collectively achieved.

“I am deeply grateful to everyone who supported, challenged and inspired me along the way,” she noted, adding that she is excited about what lies ahead and will share her next move soon.

Nayyar also extended her thanks to Devraj Sanyal, Chairman & CEO, India and South Asia at Universal Music Group, along with colleagues across global teams who played a role in her journey.

Her departure marks the end of a significant chapter, during which she contributed to shaping music marketing and brand partnerships in India’s evolving music industry landscape.
