PepsiCo has elevated Ravinder Arora to the position of Head of Modern Trade, marking a new leadership responsibility for the company’s modern retail business.
In his new role, Arora will be responsible for driving PepsiCo’s modern trade agenda and strengthening its engagement with organised retail channels in India.
The elevation comes as the FMCG industry continues to see significant shifts in retail, with modern trade, e-commerce and quick commerce becoming increasingly important routes for brands to reach consumers.
Arora brings experience in sales and commercial functions, having built his career across PepsiCo’s business. His new mandate will see him work on strengthening the company’s presence across modern retail and driving growth through key organised retail partnerships.
PepsiCo has continued to strengthen its leadership team across functions in India. The company’s recent appointments and movements include Smita Basu Roy as Head of Communications for India and South Asia and Nidhima M. as Senior Director – HR for India, Bangladesh and Nepal.
The company’s broader India business spans some of the country’s leading food and beverage brands, with its commercial strategy increasingly shaped by changing consumer behaviour and evolving retail formats.
Arora’s elevation is therefore expected to play a key role in PepsiCo’s efforts to deepen its modern trade operations and drive sustainable growth across the channel.
