After Delhi and Indore, Havells mYOUsic makes its Jharkhand debut
Havells India is taking its music talent discovery platform Havells mYOUsic to Dumka, Jharkhand, marking the initiative's first chapter in the state. The auditions will be held on July 12, 2026, at the Convention Centre, Dumka, inviting aspiring singers, lyricists, composers, music producers, rappers, and singer-songwriters to showcase their original work.
The Dumka edition follows successful chapters in Delhi and Indore, where the platform recorded more than 2,200 registrations and saw over 700 artistes audition in person, alongside strong participation through online submissions. The initiative has attracted talent from across India, reflecting growing demand for platforms that combine artist discovery with mentorship and industry exposure.
Designed as an artist-first initiative, Havells mYOUsic offers participants constructive feedback from music industry professionals, opportunities to interact with mentors, and insights into songwriting, music production, live performance, and building sustainable careers in music.
The Dumka auditions aim to spotlight emerging talent from Jharkhand, a region known for its rich musical heritage, while providing local artistes with a national platform to present their original music.
Selected participants will advance to a structured artist bootcamp later this year, where they will collaborate with mentors to create original music and audio-visual content, while receiving support in production, branding, and distribution.
Commenting on the expansion, Mukesh Kumar Jain, Vice President, Havells India, said the initiative reflects the company's commitment to empowering India's creative talent by providing emerging musicians with opportunities to discover, develop, and monetise their original work.
Vinit Karnik, Managing Director, Entertainment, Sports, Partnership and Content at WPP Media, said the strong response to previous editions demonstrated that talented artistes exist across the country and that expanding to Dumka is an important step towards reaching communities with limited access to industry opportunities.
Rohith Sobti, Curator and Co-Founder of The Shakti Collective, added that every city has uncovered exceptional talent, expressing confidence that Jharkhand's musicians will bring unique stories and sounds to the platform.
Previous editions of Havells mYOUsic featured mentors including Sandesh Shandilya, Osho Jain, Tarsame Mittal, Rohith Sobti, Laksh Maheshwari, Geet Sagar, Jatin Bisht, Amit Sharma, Siddharth Pandit, Vasav Vashisht, Moon, Uzma A. Khan, Rumpa Banerjee, and Dr. Vishal Chaturvedi, alongside live performances by independent artists such as YUGM, Osho Jain, Laksh Maheshwari, Harshad Golesar, Duhita Golesar, The Shloka, and Buland Himalay.
As Havells mYOUsic continues its nationwide expansion, the platform aims to create long-term opportunities for independent musicians by connecting them with mentorship, industry networks, and pathways to build sustainable careers.
