Anjuman Saxena Appointed Head Of A&R – Spiritual & Devotional At Times Music

Times Music is proud to welcome back Anjuman Saxena as Head of A&R – Spiritual & Devotional. A seasoned professional and trained Hindustani classical vocalist, Anjuman brings decades of experience in curating, producing, and shaping India’s spiritual and devotional music landscape.

Anjuman has previously played a pivotal role in building Times Music’s devotional and ghazal catalogue, having worked with legendary artistes like Lata Mangeshkar, Jagjit Singh, Usha Mangeshkar, Shubha Mudgal, and Abida Parveen. She has previously worked at Saregama India, where she reimagined classical and Sufi works through acclaimed albums like Voices of Freedom, Call of the River, and Tajalli.

Her artistic vision was deeply shaped by the mentorship of the late Shri Promod Shankar—an accomplished Sarod player and disciple of Ustad Ali Akbar Khan—who guided her during her early years at Times Music.

In addition to her music career, Anjuman is a noted actor, having appeared in popular films like Badrinath Ki Dulhania, Sharmaji Namkeen and Bawaal, as well as OTT series such as City of Dreams, Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein and Dupahiya. Her experience in performance and storytelling brings a multidimensional creative sensibility to her work in music.

“We are delighted to have Anjuman back at Times Music,” said Mandar Thakur, CEO of Times Music. “Her impeccable artistic instincts and deep understanding of spiritual music make her the ideal leader to take this genre forward in new and exciting ways.”

Anjuman Saxena shared, “Times Music has always been close to my heart. I return with the same passion for sound, soaked in tradition but open to innovation. I look forward to crafting soulful journeys that resonate with today’s audiences.”
