In an unprecedented move in India’s live entertainment landscape, Punjabi singer-songwriter Karan Aujla and live entertainment promoter Team Innovation have announced a special return concert for Mumbai audiences titled ‘Karan Aujla P-POP Culture India Tour – Mumbai 2.0’, scheduled for April 12, 2026.
The announcement comes with a unique fan-first gesture: complimentary access to the concert for all original ticket holders from the March 3, 2026 Mumbai show held at MMRDA Grounds. The move is believed to mark the first instance in India where a fully executed concert is followed by an entirely new performance offered to the same audience without an additional ticketing charge.
The March 3 Holi-themed event attracted nearly 15,000 fans, forming part of Aujla’s ongoing P-POP Culture India Tour. Following the show, the artist and promoters reviewed audience feedback and chose to respond by returning to the city with a reimagined nighttime concert experience, designed with enhanced production and a more immersive environment.
The upcoming show is expected to feature state-of-the-art global production, aimed at elevating the scale, technology and overall concert experience.
Speaking about the decision, Aujla said, “Mumbai has always shown me incredible love, and this concert is dedicated to my day ones. I want every fan to know they are valued, acknowledged and respected. For everyone who came out to celebrate with us, we’re coming back to create magic again and this time it’s going to be one wild party. Big shoutout to my brothers Team Innovation for doing this.”
Mohit Bijlani, Co-Founder at Team Innovation, described the initiative as a gesture of gratitude to fans. “After reviewing and acknowledging the audience feedback, we felt the most meaningful way to respond was with a gesture of appreciation. Karan Aujla Mumbai 2.0 is designed as a fan-appreciation concert dedicated to those who supported the tour’s Mumbai debut. At Team Innovation, we take active ownership of the audience experience and remain committed to continuously raising the bar for live entertainment in India,” he said.
Siddhesh Kudtarkar, Co-Founder of Team Innovation, added that the team had carefully reviewed feedback from the Holi event. He acknowledged that additional shaded areas and hydration points could have further enhanced guest comfort, noting that the learnings will be incorporated into future events. At the same time, he clarified that the March 3 concert was conceptualised as a daytime Holi festival at an open-ground venue, with the format and conditions communicated across ticketing platforms in advance.
Kudtarkar also stated that no crowd-safety incidents were recorded and the venue operated within planned capacity, while weather conditions affected fans, artists and operational teams alike. Drinking water was available at designated counters across the venue, and the absence of alcohol service was due to state directives applicable across Maharashtra, with partial refunds issued to lounge ticket holders where beverage service was originally included.
The concert is part of Aujla’s 10-city P-POP Culture India Tour, which has already seen strong audience turnouts in cities including Delhi and Pune. The tour will continue across Chandigarh, Indore, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Jaipur, Lucknow and Ludhiana through March and April.
With the Mumbai 2.0 announcement, Aujla and Team Innovation are positioning the initiative as a new benchmark in India’s concert ecosystem, one that prioritises fan experience, accountability and deeper artist-audience engagement.
