Indian hip-hop artist Hanumankind has officially announced the HOMERUN Tour, a milestone homecoming for the globally recognised rapper. The two-city India tour will kick off in Kochi on January 18, 2026, before heading to Bengaluru on February 1, 2026, as revealed through the tour’s official poster released by SkillBox and Z Live.
Positioned as more than just a live performance run, the HOMERUN Tour arrives as a cultural marker in the continuing rise of Indian hip-hop,a genre that has steadily moved from local cyphers and city scenes to international stages and global audiences.
A Homecoming Built by the Culture
Announcing the tour, industry leader Gareth Eswin Thomas described HOMERUN as a moment that mirrors the collective journey of Indian hip-hop itself. Hanumankind’s ascent, he noted, is not an isolated success story but one shaped by years of grassroots effort,by artists, producers, crews, listeners and deeply rooted regional scenes that have sustained the culture from the ground up.
The choice of Kochi and Bengaluru is deliberate. Both cities have played a formative role in nurturing independent music and alternative culture in India. By returning to these spaces, the tour symbolically acknowledges the ecosystems that helped shape the sound long before it travelled beyond Indian borders.
From Local Roots to Global Recognition
Over the past year, Indian hip-hop has made visible strides into global pop culture, with artists performing at international festivals, appearing on global streaming platforms and making an impact on overseas charts. Hanumankind’s presence in these spaces has been widely viewed not just as a personal breakthrough, but as evidence of the growing maturity and credibility of India’s hip-hop ecosystem.
Industry watchers point out that such moments are reshaping perception, positioning Indian hip-hop as a serious global export rather than a niche domestic movement.
What the HOMERUN Tour Promises
According to the announcement, the HOMERUN Tour will feature two large-format live shows, delivering high-energy performances rooted in authenticity, storytelling and community. The experience aims to strike a balance between global validation and local resonance, reflecting the journey of an artist grounded in Indian culture and affirmed on international stages.
As India’s live entertainment and independent music sectors continue to evolve, the HOMERUN Tour stands out as a defining chapter, not only for Hanumankind, but for a culture that has steadily earned its place on the world stage.
