Last night, popular online radio Boxout.fm's live music property Boxout Wednesdays celebrated their 1 year anniversary with a bang at Summerhouse Cafe. Boxout Soundsystem played the whole night having the regulars who supported Boxout Wednesdays for the last one year dance through the night. Boxout.fm is an online radio focused on alternative music and culture in India. It is a community platform for discovery of the new creative India. (read more about boxout here) Boxout.fm will also celebrate their one year anniversary next month. On the event of Women's Day, Boxout.fm has curated a 24 hour all women line up on their radio channel. The show involves a number of Indian and International female DJ's, presenters and radio hosts. All the performers range from the Boxout.fm regulars to contributors from all across. Some of the attractions of boxout's women's day curation includes LA based DJ and stylist Wolf Baby, noise and drone artist Tavishi, and Rinse.FM show host Jyoty who also works for Mixcloud’s Brand Partnerships division, have all contributed exclusive mixes for the day. Boxout.fm is known to display a new, fresh and eclectic sound through all their curations be it live music, radio curation or lineups. Creating a platform to display some of the countries finest artists has been a great contribution towards empowering women in the alternative music culture in India. Not only this, they have laid out a great display of talent for the music industry to see.
