Audi’s Summer Concerts 2026 To Spotlight Emerging Artists And Genre Fusion

Audi has unveiled the programme for its Audi Summer Concerts 2026, a month-long music festival running from 26 June to 26 July that highlights emerging musicians, open-air classical performances and innovative crossover productions. Tickets for all ten concerts go on sale at 10 a.m. on 26 February.

The series opens with two free open-air classical concerts in Ingolstadt’s Klenzepark, featuring acclaimed young artists including Israeli clarinetist Elad Navon and the Baltic Sea Philharmonic, joined by child soloist Charlotte Melkonian in works by Sibelius and Tchaikovsky.

A standout highlight of the festival is a new staging of the Baroque opera “Dido and Aeneas,” reimagined with beatboxing by Antrix and urban dance by the Flying Steps, performed alongside the Ingolstadt Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra at the Festival Hall on 4 and 5 July.

Other musical offerings include a performance by Munich-based Jazzrausch Bigband presenting “Verdi’s Breakdown” on 10 July, and chamber music with the Barbican Quartet, winners of the 2022 ARD Music Competition, on 18 July.

The festival also features family-friendly events aimed at opening classical music to younger audiences, including the world premiere of a children’s adventure, “ADUI and the Magic of Stories,” and family operas like the Salzburg Festival’s “Holle!” on 19 July. Children under ten will enjoy free admission to many concert programs.

At the heart of the 2026 programme are Audi’s own ensembles, from the Audi Philharmonic Wind Orchestra and LauschWerk vocal group to the Audi Young Persons’ Choral Academy, who perform throughout the month. The festival culminates on 26 July with a powerful rendition of Verdi’s “Messa da Requiem” featuring the Audi Young Persons’ Choral Academy and the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin.
