Spotify Celebrates 20 Years With Personalized Music Journey Experience For Users

Music streaming platform Spotify is marking its 20th anniversary by giving listeners a unique and nostalgic look back at their personal music history through a new in-app experience titled “Spotify 20: Your Party of the Year(s).”

Available starting today on the Spotify mobile app, the feature offers users a personalized retrospective of their listening journey since the day they first joined the platform. Designed as a digital time capsule, the experience highlights listeners’ music milestones and celebrates the artists, songs, and moments that shaped their streaming habits over the years.

The experience includes never-before-shared insights such as users’ first day on Spotify, total number of unique songs streamed, first song played, and their all-time most streamed artist. Spotify is also introducing an All-Time Top Songs Playlist, featuring each user’s top 120 most-played tracks along with play counts.

To make the experience more interactive and shareable, every data story comes with a customized share card that users can save or post on social media platforms like Instagram.

Users can access the feature by searching “Spotify 20” or “Party of the Year(s)” within the Spotify mobile app, or by visiting Spotify on a mobile device.

Alongside the personalized experience, Spotify also revealed the most streamed artists, albums, songs, and podcasts in the platform’s history, reflecting the music and stories that have resonated with hundreds of millions of listeners globally.

Among the most streamed artists of all time on Spotify are Taylor Swift, Bad Bunny, Drake, The Weeknd, and Ariana Grande.

The platform’s most streamed songs include Blinding Lights, Shape of You, and Sweater Weather, while popular podcasts include The Joe Rogan Experience and Crime Junkie.

The anniversary initiative reflects Spotify’s continued focus on personalized music discovery and fan engagement, while celebrating two decades of influence on global music culture.
