Shabnam Majumdar Joins Gaana As Director – Partnerships And Alliances

Music streaming platform Gaana has appointed Shabnam Majumdar as Director – Partnerships and Alliances, strengthening its leadership team as it looks to expand strategic collaborations and drive revenue growth.

In her new role, Majumdar will lead revenue partnerships for the platform, focusing on forging strategic alliances, unlocking new partnership opportunities and strengthening Gaana's ecosystem through commercial collaborations.

Majumdar brings more than two decades of experience across the telecom, banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI), and media and entertainment sectors. Her expertise spans strategic B2B partnerships, revenue growth, market expansion, go-to-market strategy, enterprise sales and global account management.

Before joining Gaana, she served as Associate Director – Strategic Partnerships, Digital at ZEE5, where she played a key role in driving subscription growth through partnerships with telecom operators, internet service providers, fintech companies and e-commerce platforms.

Over the course of her career, Majumdar has held leadership roles at Vodafone India, G4S, 92.7 Big FM, HSBC, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance and **Max Life Insurance. During her career, she has led business development and partnership initiatives across enterprise telecom, OTT subscriptions, advertising sales, sports sponsorships and market expansion in India and other emerging markets.

Outside the corporate world, Majumdar is actively involved in animal welfare and community service. She is the founder of The Philanthropist & The Happy Dog, an animal rescue trust dedicated to supporting stray animals through rescue and welfare initiatives.
