REPUBLIC Collective Partners With ZIZA Inc. To Launch ZIZA Records For Global South Asian Talent

REPUBLIC Collective has announced a multi-year worldwide partnership with New York-based ZIZA Inc., the company founded by entrepreneur and Malsons Ventures CEO Shivam Malhotra. The collaboration will see the launch of ZIZA Records, a new label dedicated to developing and scaling South Asian artists and music catalog on a global level.

The joint venture aims to operate at the intersection of South Asia and major international music markets, focusing on diaspora-driven talent, catalog development and audience growth across regions. The label will work to identify and nurture emerging artists while creating new opportunities for South Asian music to reach listeners worldwide.

“This partnership reflects the continued global expansion of South Asian music,” said Jeffrey Remedios, President and CEO of REPUBLIC Collective. “Shivam and the ZIZA team have built a strong foundation in the space, and we see an opportunity to grow that internationally together.”

The announcement comes amid the rapid rise of Malsons Ventures, which has emerged as a significant independent force in the South Asian music ecosystem. According to the company, its portfolio has contributed to more than 10 billion streams globally and generated a digital footprint exceeding 35 billion across platforms in less than five years.

Through its various ventures, Malhotra and his team have worked with a range of established and emerging artists, including Shubh, Jxggi, Gravity and Dhanda Nyoliwala, among others who have helped shape the contemporary South Asian music landscape.

Commenting on the partnership, Shivam Malhotra, Founder of ZIZA Inc. and Malsons Ventures, said, “REPUBLIC Collective represents the gold standard of modern music culture and global artist development. For us, this partnership is the beginning of a long-term movement to position South Asian music at the center of the global mainstream. Jeffrey, Avery, and the entire Republic team understand both the cultural value and the commercial scale of what’s coming next.”

He added, “Their belief in our vision, combined with their unmatched global infrastructure, makes Republic the ideal partner to build ZIZA Records into a defining force for this generation of artists. Together, we’re creating a platform that will not only break talent globally but reshape how the world experiences South Asian music.”

Under the agreement, ZIZA Records will prioritize signing and developing artists from the South Asian diaspora, particularly those with growing audiences in North America, the United Kingdom, Europe, Australia and the Middle East. The label will also focus on expanding catalog opportunities through global distribution, marketing initiatives and sync licensing.

Beyond artist development, the venture plans to explore opportunities across brand partnerships, live experiences and cross-market collaborations, creating a broader ecosystem for artists and rights holders.

The partnership reflects a wider trend within the global music industry, where streaming platforms have accelerated the international reach of regional genres. As diaspora audiences increasingly influence global music consumption, companies are investing in infrastructure and partnerships designed to elevate culturally rooted music onto the world stage.

With the launch of ZIZA Records, REPUBLIC Collective and ZIZA Inc. are positioning themselves to capitalize on the growing global demand for South Asian music while building a platform aimed at supporting the next generation of artists and creators.
