Madverse Music Group has announced the launch of Empower Fund 3.0, a funding initiative aimed at supporting independent musicians in India with financial assistance and career development opportunities.
The latest edition of the programme will select three independent artists, with each recipient receiving support worth Rs 1 lakh. The package includes Rs 50,000 in cash and Rs 50,000 worth of promotional and industry support to help bring their next music release to market.
Unlike a conventional talent competition, Empower Fund focuses on investing in artists who are already building their careers. In addition to financial support, winners will receive promotional backing, industry exposure and opportunities designed to strengthen their long-term growth.
Commenting on the initiative, Rohan Jain, Founder and CEO of Madverse Music Group, said independent artists today require more than just distribution services. "They need capital, visibility and the right ecosystem to grow sustainably. Empower Fund was created to support artists at a stage where even modest financial backing and the right exposure can make a meaningful difference to their journey," he said.
The fund is open to Madverse subscribers based in India who plan to release an unreleased single, EP or album through the platform in 2026. Artists from all genres and languages are eligible to apply.
Applications opened on July 16 and will close on July 31, with the selected artists set to be announced on August 7.
This year's jury includes music journalist Amit Gurbaxani, producer, DJ and artist development mentor Prayag Mehta, and Rohan Jain, Founder and CEO of Madverse Music Group.
As India's independent music ecosystem continues to expand, initiatives such as Empower Fund reflect a growing emphasis on providing emerging artists with not only visibility but also the financial resources and industry support needed to build sustainable careers.
