Amazon Prime Video India is doing major moves. In other words, 'Harmony With A.R. Rahman' is here. In fact, the premier of the show is on August 15, the Independence day of India. As a matter of fact, 'Harmony With A.R. Rahman' is a five-episode long series. A.R. Rahman will be bringing back the fading musical tradition of India. First trailer of the show is already out on YouTube. “A blend of tradition with modern sounds – that is 'Harmony with me A.R. Rahman',” says A.R. Rahman
In fact, the trailer looks very promising. The trailer of 'Harmony With A.R. Rahman' starts off with an aerial view of the city. In addition, musicians are clearly visible playing their instruments from across the country. However, 'Harmony With A.R. Rahman' has been shot in several states. On the other hand, artists including Sajith Vijayan, Mickma Tshering Lepcha and others will be on the show.
Why 'Amazon Prime Exclusive' but not 'Amazon Prime Original'?
Kavithalayaa Productions have produced the show. The Chennai-based production house has indeed invested in a masterpiece. Kavithalayaa Productions was founded by K. Balachander in 1981. Balachander is a veteran Tamil film-director. He has produced movies like Roja, Muthu and others. An Amazon Prime Original needs to produced by Amazon itself. Since, 'Harmony With A.R. Rahman' is produced otherwise, the show is an Amazon Prime Exclusive. The complete show will be available on August 15 for Amazon customers globally.
“Music should not be limited to one community or one country. I think it should be accessible to everyone.” That's what Rahman has to say. The hunt for musicians is on in this series. Rahman wants musicians who could play a blend modern and traditional sounds. When Mozart of Madras goes on a musical hunt, it is going to be a must watch.
