Diljit Dosanjh Teams Up With J Balvin For Global Collaboration On His Birthday

Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh marked his 42nd birthday on Tuesday by announcing a global music collaboration with Colombian star J. Balvin. The upcoming track, titled “Senorita,” was unveiled as a surprise for fans and is slated for release in 2026.

Dosanjh shared a brief preview of the music video on Instagram, describing the collaboration as a birthday gift to his audience and expressing his excitement about working with Balvin on the cross-cultural project.

The collaboration brings together two artists with significant international reach. J. Balvin is among the most influential figures in Latin music, with multiple Billboard Latin Music Awards, Latin Grammy Awards, MTV Video Music Awards and Latin American Music Awards to his name. Widely credited with helping propel reggaeton to a global audience, Balvin has headlined major music festivals worldwide.

He first rose to prominence with his 2014 breakout single “6 AM”, followed by a run of global hits including “Mi Gente,” “Machika,” and “I Like It,” the latter of which topped the US Billboard Hot 100. His genre-spanning collaborations have played a key role in expanding the international footprint of Latin music.

Dosanjh, meanwhile, continues to balance his music career with film projects. He will next be seen in “Border 2,” directed by Anurag Singh. The film features an ensemble cast including Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty, Mona Singh, Medha Rana, Sonam Bajwa and Anya Singh.
