Coca-Cola India Launches ‘Halftime’ Campaign With Diljit Dosanjh & Janhvi Kapoor

Coca-Cola has unveiled a new campaign featuring Diljit Dosanjh and Janhvi Kapoor, introducing the concept of a “Coca-Cola Halftime” as a way to rediscover presence in everyday moments.

At the heart of the campaign is the idea that a halftime should do more than simply pause the day,it should draw people back into it. Positioned as a refreshing and uplifting break, Coca-Cola becomes a simple ritual that fosters warmth, connection, and a deeper engagement with one’s surroundings.

Karthik Subramanian, Senior Director, Marketing, Coca-Cola India & Southwest Asia, said the campaign reflects the evolving needs of modern consumers navigating increasingly fast-paced lives. He noted that small, meaningful pauses have become more valuable than ever, with Coca-Cola continuing to play a role in these everyday rituals.

Conceptualised by VML under WPP Open X, the campaign films focus on the overlooked “in-between” moments, instances where people are physically present but mentally disengaged. In one film, Diljit Dosanjh is seen immersed in a rehearsal, while Janhvi Kapoor appears lost in thought during a casual hangout. In both narratives, a sip of Coca-Cola acts as a refreshing spark, bringing attention back to the present.

Executive Creative Directors Nakul Sharma and Tirtha Ghosh of VML said the campaign aims to capture a universal human truth, the desire to feel present despite constant distractions. They described Coca-Cola as a “micro moment of reconnection” that transforms routine pauses into meaningful experiences.

The campaign is being rolled out across key markets including Delhi, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka, supported by a 360-degree media strategy spanning television, digital, and social platforms. It also features regionally adapted storytelling, with Diljit Dosanjh’s film targeting northern and western markets, while Janhvi Kapoor appears in Tamil and Kannada versions.

An original soundtrack composed by Donn Bhat, with vocals by Vivek Hariharan and Aarifah Rebello, adds a retro sonic layer to the campaign, reinforcing its focus on rediscovering joy in the present.

Through this initiative, Coca-Cola continues to build on its legacy of connecting with audiences, positioning the “Coca-Cola Halftime” as a simple yet powerful way to stay grounded in the moment.
