Boxout.fm Launches Traveling Event Series

New Delhi-based online community radio station boxout.fm paints a diverse and accurate portrait of music tastes in India and around the world. More than 88 resident radio hosts have presented 120+ shows that span the length and breadth of contemporary music. Also, boxout.fm’s flagship event series Boxout Wednesdays is now the longest-running midweek nightclub residency in the country, and their annual festival - Boxout Weekender - has gone from strength to strength, seeing more than 3000 fans in attendance at its most recent edition in New Delhi. Beginning July, boxout.fm announces boxout.fm Showcase, its first travelling event property in association with local promoters, venue owners and music collectives across the country. Boxout.fm Showcase will explore new sounds, visuals, and mixed-media, and will provide a platform for the wide variety of musical genres that radio hosts champion across their boxout.fm radio shows. Besides, the boxout.fm Showcase will shine light many different mediums of creative expression across India. These creative pop-up showcases are held in partnership with local promoters and the first boxout.fm showcase kicks at Echoes in Kolkata on July 12 with music from Sub-Z’s Tanzen and Stain, in collaboration with local production company Littlei. Sub-Z are the new-age champions of New Delhi’s ever-evolving bass music underground, and also the hosts of the radio show Sub-Z Sessions on boxout.fm.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS

Sourodeep Guha aka Stain is a bass music producer with a heavy bent towards reggae, dub, dancehall, dubstep and jungle. https://boxout.fm/residents/stain Suyagya Sharma, aka Tanzen, focuses on new-school sounds of global bass music. Cherry-picking from subcultures and micro-trends from the sphere of bass music around the world, he creates an educative experience demonstrating how far the culture has come from its roots. https://boxout.fm/residents/tanzen Littlei is a production company based in Kolkata, India. Their primary focus is promoting live music, the performing arts and innovative design while building a national creative commune that includes musicians, artists, designers, writers, actors, dancers, photographers, producers and new age visionaries. Littlei’s services range from artist and performer bookings to a comprehensive event management service.
