Amazon Music India has unveiled its first brand campaign following the launch of Amazon Music Unlimited in India on June 2, 2026. The campaign celebrates India's enduring love for music through the nostalgic tradition of Antakshari, highlighting the shared memories and cultural connections built around the popular singing game.
Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Neeraj Ghaywan and conceptualised by creative agency Manja, the film revisits familiar moments from everyday Indian life, from terrace gatherings during power cuts and lively house parties to long train journeys, where Antakshari naturally brings people together. The campaign stitches these moments together through a medley of popular songs spanning languages, generations and regions.
The film features renowned artists Usha Uthup and Sonu Nigam, reinforcing the campaign's celebration of India's rich musical heritage and the joy of collective singing.
Commenting on the campaign, Divya Chadha, Head of Marketing, Amazon Music India, said Antakshari represents one of the earliest ways many Indians discovered and bonded over music. She added that the campaign celebrates the diversity of India's music across languages, genres and generations while reinforcing Amazon Music's vision of being a destination for every listener.
Speaking about the creative approach, Arvind Krishnan, Founder and CEO of Manja, said,"Antakshari felt like the perfect cultural metaphor for Amazon Music in India. For generations, it has brought people together through memory, spontaneity and the shared joy of one song leading to another. We wanted to draw from that unmistakably Indian cultural trope and create a narrative that feels familiar, participative and rooted in the way India has always enjoyed music."
The campaign follows the introduction of Amazon Music Unlimited, the streaming service's premium subscription tier offering ad-free listening, offline downloads, high-quality audio and spatial audio.
Rolling out across digital platforms and out-of-home media, the campaign invites audiences across India to rediscover the joy of singing together while showcasing Amazon Music's catalogue spanning millions of songs across multiple languages and genres.
