After releasing some popular tracks such as Tum, Ishq Hai, Baadalon Mein Ghar, Yaad and Mere Ho Tum 16 years old music composer Rishi Kumar has released yet another single called “Dil Ho Tum”. The track is sung beautifully by singer Hansika Pareek and the lyrics are penned by Anurag Mishra. Anurag Mishra has previously worked on some projects like Rocketry - The Nambi Effect, “Annabelle Sethupathi”; Kartik’s “Karma Strikes”.
Speaking about the track Rishi says “ Dil Ho Tum is a collaboration with Hansika Pareek and Anurag Mishra. We gelled really well as a team for this one. Initially the arrangement of the song was very different, poles apart compared to the final, as the old one had a very upbeat vibe to it. Special thanks to candid feedback as laymen from my parents to change the arrangement to better suit the song. In fact, most of the production of the new arrangement was done only after dubbing the vocals, as Hansika Pareek’s vocals give a very soft vibe to the song. Of course Anurag Mishra with his beautiful lyrics as usual;couldn't think of anyone else better to write the song.”
1) Please tell us more about your collaboration with Anurag Mishra ?
I had collaborated with Anurag Mishra (bhaiya) on Manzuri from my debut album Zindagi, where he had both written the lyrics for the track and had sung it. We collaborated on Baadalon Mein Ghar next, where once again he had both written the lyrics and sung the male parts in the soothing duet. His lyrical works have always captivated my attention as a listener and as a songwriter, hence I always wanted to collaborate with him for only writing a song, and I knew that Dil Ho Tum was something special from the moment I composed the melody. Ultimately, the song turned out to be absolutely beautiful.
2) Please tell us about your song Dil Ho Tum?
Hansika Pareek didi was my first choice for the vocals of Dil Ho Tum, I couldn't imagine anyone else's voice in the track, after the lyrics were complete. Devanand SP anna (he has previously collaborated with me on my debut album Zindagi in the songs Mere Ho Tum & Tum) connected me with Hansika didi, and she too loved the track. The dubbing and production work was complete, but something was amiss in the track. My parents helped me realize that the arrangement needed some changes. Ultimately, the new arrangement that I created turned out to be very beautiful and complete, compared to the earlier arrangement.
3) What is next ?
I Have a couple of Tamil releases in the pipeline, and four more tracks from the album Ishq as well; all of which will have me collaborate with different, exciting artists!
