Jaipur Music Stage 2025: A Spectacular Fusion Of Music, Culture, And Legacy

As Jaipur gears up for the 18th edition of the iconic Jaipur Literature Festival, the Jaipur Music Stage, running alongside the “greatest literary show on Earth,” has unveiled a stellar lineup of performers. Showcasing a vibrant mix of genres from across the Indian subcontinent, the Jaipur Music Stage promises an immersive musical journey that fuses style, sound, and history.

30th January: A Celebration of Khusrau & Kabir

The festival begins with a tribute to two legendary poets: the 13th-14th century Sufi mystic Amir Khusrau and the 14th-15th century philosopher-poet Kabir Das. Their timeless verses will be brought to life through evocative performances.

The Amir Khusrau Project by Abhijit Pohankar, celebrated for his mastery in Indian classical fusion and keyboard artistry, will pay homage to Khusrau’s profound legacy. Dastaan LIVE, an innovative ensemble blending poetry, folk, and rock, will take the stage with their thought-provoking set Kabira Khada Bazaar Mein, celebrating Kabir’s enduring wisdom.

31st January: Soulful Rhythms

The second evening will feature a lineup of soul-stirring performances, weaving global influences into deeply resonant music. Kamakshi Khanna, acclaimed for her heartfelt lyrics and soothing melodies, will present a seamless fusion of pop, R&B, soul, and folk traditions.

Next, Susheela Raman, renowned for her spellbinding voice and mastery of world music, Indian classical, and experimental fusion, will perform alongside the legendary Sam Mills, an innovator in cross-cultural music. They will be joined by Nathoo Lal Solanki, a 13th-generation Nagada maestro, and Chugge Khan, known for his expertise in Rajasthani folk, Sufi, and classical fusion. Together, they will craft a mesmerizing blend of international and Rajasthani musical traditions.

1st February: The Grand Finale

The Jaipur Music Stage 2025 will culminate with a grand finale that promises to be both electrifying and unforgettable. Hrishi, celebrated for his genre-defying fusion of classical and contemporary music, will showcase a performance that redefines musical boundaries and embodies innovation.

The finale will be headlined by Kailash Kher’s Kailasa, a band that has carved a niche with its signature sound—melding traditional instruments with modern beats. Kailash Kher’s soulful and powerful vocals, combined with Kailasa’s energetic compositions, have made them a beloved name in the Indian music scene.
