Hindustan Zinc Sets The Stage For Vedanta Udaipur World Music Festival 2025

The countdown to Vedanta Udaipur World Music Festival 2025, presented by Hindustan Zinc, has begun with the unveiling of its official poster and artist lineup at a special event at Hindustan Zinc Ltd., Udaipur. From February 7 to 9, 2025, the festival will transform Zinc City into a vibrant hub of global and Indian music, blending rock, folk, traditional, and modern sounds.

This year, the festival embraces a larger vision—preserving Rajasthan’s forgotten musical traditions while celebrating global music cultures. Conceptualized by SEHER and presented in association with the Department of Tourism, Government of Rajasthan, it continues its mission of making world-class music accessible to all with free entry.

Now Asia’s most sought-after world music festival, drawing over 55,000 attendees annually, it features an impressive lineup of 22 bands from 15+ countries, including Argentina, Iran, Sweden, Spain, Ivory Coast, Kurdistan, Germany, Hungary, and Reunion Island. For many international artists, this marks their India debut. Indian headliners include Shaan, Karsh Kale, Kanika Kapoor, Faridkot, Sukriti-Prakriti, Euphoria, and Western Ghats.

Spanning three scenic locations, the festival offers diverse experiences:

  • Mornings at Manji Ka Ghat (Feb 8-9, 8 AM - 10 AM) – Serene, meditative performances by the lake.
  • Afternoons at Fateh Sagar Paal (Feb 8-9, 3 PM - 5 PM) – Soulful world music and romantic melodies.
  • Evenings at Gandhi Ground (Feb 7-9, 6 PM - 10 PM) – High-energy performances to close each day.

A Platform for Art & Culture

Arun Misra, CEO of Hindustan Zinc, emphasized the festival’s role in nurturing creativity, stating, “Music is a universal language that unites cultures and inspires harmony. We take pride in positioning Udaipur as a global cultural capital.”

Founder-Director of SEHER, Sanjeev Bhargava, highlighted the festival’s evolution, saying, “The Vedanta Udaipur World Music Festival has become a landmark event, introducing Indian audiences to a diverse spectrum of global music.”

Beyond music, Hindustan Zinc actively supports cultural and social initiatives, including Srajan - The Spark, an international arts platform, and Smritiyan, honoring legendary tabla maestro Pandit Chatur Lal. The Vedanta Zinc City Half Marathon, dubbed India’s Most Beautiful Marathon, promotes social causes while boosting tourism by nearly 10% in just three days.

With a stellar lineup and immersive performances, the Vedanta Udaipur World Music Festival 2025 promises to be one of the most awaited cultural events of the year.
