PVR INOX Limited, India’s largest and most premium cinema exhibitor, has announced a broadcast partnership with Global Citizen to bring the 2025 Global Citizen Festival     , one of the world’s most iconic music festivals, live to cinema screens across India.

Global Citizen is the world’s leading international advocacy organization on a mission to end extreme poverty.The movement is amplified by campaigns and events that convene leaders in entertainment, policy, media, philanthropy, government, and business. This is the second time Global Citizen is activating in India, following Global Citizen Live in 2016, which featured performances by Coldplay, Jay Z, and Demi Lovato.      

Now, for the first time, Indian audiences can experience this phenomenon on the country’s most immersive big screens.

The five-hour mega event on Sunday, 28th September 2025, will feature a world-class line up including The Weeknd, Shakira, Tyla, Ayra Starr, Mariah The Scientist, and Camilo will be hosted by Hugh Jackman. With its unmatched global reach and appeal across Millennials, Gen Z and Gen Alpha, Global Citizen blends music, culture and activism to galvanize collective efforts towards ending poverty and defending the planet worldwide.

As part of the first phase, tickets will go live early this week across select PVR INOX cinemas, with plans to expand nationwide. This exclusive screening will transform PVR INOX cinemas into high-energy concert arenas, allowing audiences to experience the thrill, the atmosphere and the purpose of the 2025 Global Citizen Festival as if they were standing in front of the      stage in Central Park in New York City.
