Magnetic Fields, with its sharp curatorial focus, has come to represent an exciting vision of modern India since its first edition in 2013, and its return every December is awaited with much excitement.
Having announced dates for 2024 last week – the experiential festival is scheduled to be held from December 6 to 8 – tickets for the 10th edition of the December festival went on sale on July 10, and are now available on https://magneticfields.in.
Early bird ticket prices begin at Rs 10,500 and go up to Rs 14,750 while accommodation packages start at Rs 7500.
Magnetic Fields has established itself as one of the most stimulating contemporary arts and music festivals in the world. The three-day festival takes place in the small village of Alsisar with Alsisar Mahal, a stately 17th century palace, as the perfect backdrop for Magnetic Fields’ handpicked showcase of music and the arts.
Theme for #MagFields2024
Over the past decade, the festival has evolved into a vibrant platform that not only showcases the best in underground music from around the world but also champions the creativity of young and upcoming artists in India. It has strived to bridge the gap between various musical communities, traditions, and genres, from cultural art forms and folk musicians to classical and contemporary performers.
As Magnetic Fields commemorates a decade of existence, the theme for this year’s edition, ‘Unified Field’, honours the unity achieved through the diverse experiences and endeavours that have shaped the festival.
The festival, like every year, is limited capacity, and promises to be an immersive, sensorial adventure. The focus of the festival is as much on curating exciting music as on introducing new concepts and experiences to attendees. The 10th edition will see the addition of new spaces and new elements with details to be revealed in the run up to the festival.
“The past decade has been a journey that has seen us cross milestones with each edition and left us reinvigorated for the next, and 2024 will be no different,” says Munbir Chawla, festival co-founder, adding, “We realise that our attendees have certain expectations every year, and it’s a responsibility we bear proudly. We are committed to championing creativity and causes that are intrinsic to the festival’s ethos and our hearts. And our 10th edition will be a testament to the love and affection that we have received from everyone who is part of the Magnetic Fields family,” he adds.
