Candlelight By Live Your City Brings Intimate Concert Experience To Mumbai

Mumbai’s summer evenings are set to strike a new chord as Candlelight Concert Series by Live Your City arrives at two of the city’s most iconic venues,The Royal Opera House Mumbai and Afghan Church. Blending live music with candlelit ambience, the series aims to offer audiences a distinctive way to experience performances against the backdrop of heritage architecture and cultural landmarks.

At The Royal Opera House, one of India’s oldest surviving opera houses, the concerts unfold amid ornate interiors and historic grandeur, enhanced by the glow of candlelight. In contrast, Afghan Church provides a quieter, more contemplative setting, with its towering structure and serene surroundings shaping a different, yet equally immersive, atmosphere. Together, the venues create two contrasting moods while staying true to the signature format of the series.

Spanning multiple dates across April and May, the programming features a mix of globally celebrated music and widely recognised compositions. From tributes to contemporary icons like Arijit Singh and A. R. Rahman to themed showcases such as Queen vs. ABBA and Mozart vs. Beethoven, the lineup offers a diverse musical palette. Performances will be brought to life by artists including the Flamera Quartet, as well as pianists Jay Parte, Hrisheek Ganesh, and Rahul Wadhwani.

Key highlights include performances on April 17 at The Royal Opera House featuring Queen vs. ABBA and a tribute to Arijit Singh, followed by a series of piano-led concerts at Afghan Church on April 25 and May 8, spotlighting composers like Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Ludwig van Beethoven, and Hans Zimmer. The series will conclude on May 30 with another set of performances at The Royal Opera House, including Queen vs. ABBA and a tribute to A.R. Rahman.
