Percept Live, the creators of Asia’s largest electronic dance music festival Sunburn, is set to make history once again. In a landmark collaboration with legendary composer A.R. Rahman, the company will launch the global premiere of The Wonderment Tour—a spectacular, immersive live concert experience debuting at DY Patil Stadium, Navi Mumbai, on May 3, 2025. With an expected audience of over 50,000 fans, the event marks the beginning of an ambitious international tour and the largest stadium show ever for an Indian artist.
Blending music, storytelling, choreography, and cutting-edge technology, The Wonderment Tour promises to be Rahman’s most grandiose production yet. The lineup features vocal powerhouses like Sukhwinder Singh, Jonita Gandhi, Mohit Chauhan, and surprise guests, brought together on one massive stage. Under the direction of celebrated choreographer Shiamak Davar, the performance will fuse tradition and innovation through stunning costumes, compelling movement, and emotionally charged visuals, transforming Rahman’s compositions into a breathtaking sensory journey.
Co-produced by Percept Live, Fairgame Entertainment, and Jo Entertainment, the concert is part of the Waves Summit, a flagship cultural and creative economy event supported by the Government of India. The Wonderment experience will merge Rahman’s timeless classics with futuristic reinterpretations, supported by a 12,000 sq. ft. anamorphic LED stage and a state-of-the-art sound system designed to elevate every note in the vast open-air stadium.
In an unprecedented show of support, the event boasts one of the most extensive brand partnerships in Indian concert history, with names like JSW, Adani, Bajaj Allianz, Rampur, Kingfisher, Tata Motors, Panchshil Realty, HSBC, boAt, Vedica, RRP Electricals, and Maharashtra Tourism on board. Audience experience has been a central focus, with Percept Live rolling out global-standard infrastructure that includes ample parking, efficient crowd management, tiered safety protocols, free hydration points, balanced nutrition options, spotless restrooms, and fully staffed medical teams—designed to ensure comfort and safety for fans braving the Mumbai summer heat.
The scale of production reflects the team's vision to push the boundaries of live entertainment. Every element, from immersive content to climate-sensitive design, has been planned with precision. Ashwwin Mukundan, Business Head – Percept Live, emphasized that this event goes far beyond lights and sound, aiming instead to reimagine what an Indian concert can be on the world stage. Karan Singh, Director – Percept Live, called it a landmark in Percept's decades-long journey of crafting iconic experiences, adding that Rahman’s trust in the company to build and launch this IP validates their commitment to excellence.
The Wonderment Tour also marks the start of a bold new chapter for Percept Live. With a roadmap that spans India, neighboring countries, and global destinations, the company is poised to usher in a new era of Indian-led, world-class productions that celebrate music, movement, and imagination. Each show in the tour will serve as a cultural milestone, seamlessly merging the richness of Indian creativity with modern innovation.
Harindra Singh, Chairman and Managing Director, Percept Limited, called the tour a defining moment for India’s live entertainment landscape. Drawing inspiration from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a self-reliant, creatively vibrant India, Singh described The Wonderment Tour as the beginning of a renaissance in cultural expression. With a renewed commitment to research, innovation, and global standards, Percept Live is preparing to take Indian artistry to new heights—setting a benchmark not just for the country, but for the world.
As the lights come up on May 3 at DY Patil Stadium, a new chapter in live performance will be written. The Wonderment Tour is more than a concert—it’s a revolution in scale, creativity, and vision. Mumbai will take center stage as the world looks on, witnessing a once-in-a-generation moment of magic, ambition, and national pride.
