Top Drag Firm, Producer Entertainment Group, Inks Deal With Warner Music’s ADA
Top drag management firm and record label Producer Entertainment Group (PEG) inked a distribution deal with Warner Music Group’s Alternative Distribution Alliance (ADA), according to a report by Billboard. The deal, effective immediately, includes physical and digital distribution as well as sync, radio and other label services. It will see ADA distributing all new releases from PEG Records including upcoming music from Alaska Thunderfuck, BeBe Zahara Benet, Bob the Drag Queen, Trixie Mattel (previously topped Billboard’s Heatseekers chart last March with her EP, One Stone) and Blair St. Clair (already debuted atop Dance/Electronic Albums Sales chart last July with her release, Call My Life). ADA will also manage PEG’s catalogue of more than 25 albums and dozens of singles. Commenting on the deal, Eliah Seton, Warner Music Group president of independent music and creator services, said: "We are so excited to be partnering with PEG. Drag has had its own celebrated place in the entertainment industry for a long time, and shows like RuPaul’s Drag Race have created more visibility and taken this queer art form into the mainstream. It feels especially appropriate that we are announcing this partnership right as the 50th anniversary of Stonewall is approaching, an event that proved those drag queens could not only make us want to get up and dance, they can make history — or her story.” Added PEG President and Founder David Charpentier: "This label partnership brings an unprecedented opportunity for drag artists to achieve even greater visibility and commercial success with their music. We could not be happier to begin working with our new partners at ADA, who understand the unique genre we’ve developed. ADA brings additional resources into our firm that will allow our label to continue growing via their incredible expertise and infrastructure." PEG is responsible for more than 90 drag music videos that have collectively achieved more than 100 million views on YouTube and Vevo combined.
