Mayur Narvekar from the Bandish Project - one of the forerunners of the bass music scene in India has teamed up with Mumbai based Hip Hop crew Swadesi for a new collaborative album called "Khulle Naagde"-  a 6 track Ep consisting of rap in 4 different languages. Khulle Naagde comes out on 23rd May on Delhi based Hip Hop record label Azadi Records and also on Bandish Projeckt's Bheja Fry Records. The new album features  MC Mawali, MC Tod Fod, Maharya and 100 RBH from the Swadesi Crew who have rapped in regional languages like Hindi, Marathi and Bengali.

This will be their second collaboration, three years after the release of "Katal Kalaa" EP released in 2016. The first track 'Antakrish' from the new album was released along with a video on 14th May on Youtube. The track features a hard hitting rap by Aklesh Sutar aka MC Mawali.

I feel ‘Antariksh’ was my attempt in writing words for that which leaves me speechless. The infinite universe, the life force and everything I see in Nature was its influence.” - MC Mawali to Rolling Stone India

Swadesi Crew is known for their raps in various Indian languages like Hindi, Tamil, Gujarati, Marathi and Bengali. They believe in the power of dialects to carry the listener across the different regions of India by merely tapping into their vernacular souls. All their raps have a socio-political undertone and a critical commentary about modern day Indian society. Their recent collaboration with Viveick Rajagopalan on the track “Ta Dhom,” which combines the elements of rap music with that of Konnakol received many accolades and was selected in the Top 30 from 2000 different projects at the World Music Expo held at the Canary Islands in Spain. This feat got them to perform outside the country for the first time.
