Something about Glass Beams lingers long after the lights go out , the masks, the mystique, and that unmistakable fusion of psychedelic groove and cosmic funk. This October, the Melbourne-based trio returns to India, bringing their kaleidoscopic sound and magnetic stage energy to three cities: Delhi NCR (Oct 9), Mumbai (Oct 11), and Bengaluru (Oct 12).
For those who’ve witnessed their live sets before, this isn’t just another gig , it’s a ritual. Since their India debut at Magnetic Fields 2023, where they transformed Alsisar Mahal’s desert palace into a pulsating dreamscape, Glass Beams have carved out a cult following among Indian audiences. Their spellbinding run continued into early 2024, with unforgettable sets at Echoes of Earth in Goa and a special club night in Bengaluru ,both blurring the line between performance and collective trance.
Their music doesn’t rely on lyrics, it thrives on mood, mystery, and movement. Each track builds slowly, a hypnotic crescendo of rhythm and reverie, reminding listeners that connection doesn’t always need words. With every show, the masked trio have found new ways to pull listeners into their orbit, creating not just fans, but entire communities of sound-seekers.
Following the success of their debut Mirage EP, Glass Beams returned in 2024 with their sophomore release, Mahal , a record that propelled them further onto the global stage. While their masked personas continued to intrigue audiences, it was the music itself ,what frontman Siva describes as “a lyric-less dialogue between cultures” ,that truly captured hearts around the world.
The Mahal era saw the trio embark on an expansive world tour, headlining their own shows and joining RÜFÜS DU SOL across North America. Their growing momentum reached new heights in June, when they brought their hypnotic live energy to one of the world’s most iconic stages , Glastonbury Festival in the U.K.
Now, as they return for their 2025 India Tour, Glass Beams arrive at the peak of their cult popularity. For India’s growing tribe of live music lovers, this is more than a concert , it’s a reunion with a sound that feels both global and deeply spiritual.
“Like they’ve just witnessed a cosmic ritual , hypnotic, euphoric, and utterly transcendent. As someone who’s spent years building platforms for live expression, seeing Glass Beams perform in Mumbai is deeply special,” says Anmol Kukreja, Founder & CEO, SkillBox. “Their sound bridges worlds ,ancient and futuristic, meditative and electric and that spirit mirrors exactly what we believe in at SkillBox: the power of live music to dissolve boundaries. Bringing them to an Indian stage isn’t just a concert; it’s a cultural moment where global energy meets Indian soul.”
Kukreja adds, “At SkillBox, we’ve always believed that live music isn’t just entertainment , it’s a language of identity. Tours like Glass Beams challenge the conventional, showing that sound can be both deeply rooted and globally relevant. I think experiences like this will inspire Indian artists to dig deeper into their own stories, their cultural DNA, and reinterpret it through new sonic lenses. For audiences, it’s an invitation to listen differently , to feel pride, curiosity, and connection in the same moment.”
Ultimately, what makes Glass Beams so magnetic is their ability to tap into something primal ,a feeling beyond language. Kukreja sums it up best, “There’s nostalgia in their sound, yes, but it’s not about looking back; it’s about remembering something timeless that lives in all of us. The mystique, the rhythm, the trance-like energy , it speaks directly to emotion, not intellect. That’s what truly connects people: the shared pulse of being human, translated through sound.”
As the lights dim and the first bassline ripples through the crowd this October, one thing’s certain , Glass Beams won’t just perform in India; they’ll summon a collective state of transcendence.
