Veer Kowli, aka chrms, is an 18 year old electronica producer based out of Mumbai India. Inspired by artists like Flume, Mura Masa, Odesza and Mr. Carmack, Veer has always been drawn to the creative arts. Having dabbled in design, film and music since the age of 9, he aspires to create fresh sounds never heard before, merging indie dream-pop with all kinds of electronic music. Without restricting himself to any particular genre, chrms' sounds can vary from being super lush, chill and ethereal, to bass heavy. Chrms’ new 7 track EP - LOVER BOY - is set to release on June 10th after being under works for two years. On May 24th, Veer played a half hour set at the Vh1 LISTEN where he dropped tracks from LOVER BOY. The first single from the EP, which is a collaboration track called Mind feat. Sabu released on May 27th 2019.“Each track is an impression of a feeling I felt, I had to dig deep within myself and venture into unusual yet seemingly familiar areas of sound and composition. Collaborating with Jordan Johnson, Sabu and Rae was a part of this process. Sonically, it sounds like me, but taken in a new, authentic and raw direction. I didn't want to bind myself to any genre, making the record flow dynamically, just like a relationship.”
"LOVER BOY" is about the intricacies of a relationship. Any relationship. A human to human connection. Walking down the winding road that it is. Through love and war. From what I have learnt, the real meaning of this very core feeling that we all feel isn't the confort and warmth it has to offer; it's affection seeping through any cracks that compromise and adjustments make. Each of the 7 tracks on the EP, are inspired by the changes my life and relationships went through over the past few years to make me who I am today. Each track is an impression of a feeling I felt.
