Continuing its fluid exchange of music with its neighbouring countries, boxout.fm’s traveling, an on-air showcase of talent - Boxout In Transit - heads to two new locales in the month of August 2019.
On August 1st, boxout.fm will broadcast live from Hanoi, Vietnam at the newly-christened TÉT Club in the city’s Old Quarter. The four-hour-long showcase of local selectors will include the sounds of Thomas Etievant aka ToK, founder of Kobala and the Studio Adventure Collective, TrinhNu, famed for his selections that traverse Italo, peak-time rave, ‘90s house and modern ballroom, veteran DJ and beatmaker Nayla bringing a bag of jazz, funk and Latin treats, and the Serbian sensation and Hanoi transplant Dusan known for his laser-focused approach to techno and electro.
Later in the month on August 24th, Boxout In Transit visits Kathmandu, Nepal, linking up with local promoters Spektrum at Chimes. The four hour block of music from Nepal will showcase the sounds of electronic duo Zeromile, known for pairing eastern classical music with modern beat structures, YNZN.P who oscillates between leftfield electronic music and art-pop, Few-hrs, the experimental avatar of producer Foeseal, dabbling in beat-driven experimental music using sampling and drones, and finally, the interdisciplinary artist 'phatcowlee', a former BorderMovement Berlin resident with an EP (Cinema) that released in 2017 on Consolidate Records.
