TikTok Releases "Jeetega Saara India", In Collaboration With ICC World Cup 2019
TikTok is a iOs and Android media app made for creating and sharing short mobile videos. It was originally launched in 2014, as Musical.ly, it was acquired by the Chinese company called ByteDance in November 2017 and intigrated into their already existing app called TikTok in August 2018. TikTok "enables everyone to be a creator and encourages users to share their passion and creative expression through their videos." The company is based out of Los Angeles, with global offices in London, Tokyo, Seoul, Shanghai, Beijing, Singapore, Jakarta, Mumbai, and Moscow. In early 2018, TikTok was one of the most downloaded apps in the world. TikTok is available worldwide for  iOS and Android.

TikTok Collaborates With ICC

ICC World Cup 2019 is one of the most awaited sports events of the year 2019. To celebrate the tournament, TikTok, in collaboration with Sony Music's artist Aastha Gill, has launched a TikTok World Cup Anthem - "Jeetega Saara India". The exciting anthem is a cheer to the Indian team to go and bring the World Cup home. It is exclusively available on TikTok.

Mayank Gandotra, Director of Business Development and Music Partnerships, TikTok India, commented on the launch of the TikTok World Cup Anthem, “Jeetega Saara India captures the feeling of every Indian who wants Team India to bring World Cup home and we are hoping that our users will spread this feeling by creating content using the TikTok World Cup Anthem. This is our way of bringing the entire TikTok community and the country together to support the Indian team during this tournament.”

By using the TikTok World Cup Anthem, users will also have the opportunity to continuously engage and show their love for the game and team India using #CricketWorldCup with their videos.

Sanujeet Bhujabal, Marketing Director, Sony Music India adds, “Music plays a pivotal role in uplifting the spirit of all cricket enthusiasts in India and #CricketWorldCup does exactly that. [...] We are thrilled to be working with TikTok on the same and we are sure the platform will reach the song to over a billion cricket fanatics in India and the globe.”

The song was composed by Mix Singh and sung by Aastha Gill. The lyrics were written by Yawar and Rish. The song is exclusively available on TikTok for its users.

Commenting on the TikTok World Cup Anthem, Aastha Gill said, “World Cup springs a feeling of patriotism that energizes a nation. So, when I decided to work on a World Cup song exclusively for TikTok, I wanted to bring alive the same spirit for the rest of us.”
