Raja Kumari Clarifies: She Is Self-Made With "I Did It"
Raja Kumari has recently released her new single "I Did It". As a matter of fact, "I Did It" is not a typical Raja Kumari sound. The variation in the instrumental and dynamics of the sound creates a different vibe. In fact, "I Did It" is a synth-driven Pop/Trap song. Synth sounds used in "I Did It" are DJ Mustard inspired. However, Raja Kumari spared no mercy on the lyrical end of the song Svetha Rao has built her artist image around the princess-like look. Trust us, that goes well on her. Likewise, the music video of "I Did It" is filled with Indian-dance moves. Raja Kumari has used Indian Classical vocal music rhythms in the interlude sections of the song as well. "I Did It" is perfect for clubs and simultaneously conveys a message of self-dependence.

Notable Lyrics From "I Did It":

I am one in a billion/ we're not the same, You might feel the pressure/ But I'm diamond-made. Raja Kumari was born in California. As a result, Svetha was always surrounded with hip-hop and pop music. "The Score" by Fugees made her fell in love with hip-hop music. Her Indian origin introduced her to Indian classical dance. Every artist needs an alter-ego/stage name. Svetha decided to call herself Raja Kumari which literates to "the daughter of the king". Her songwriting skills made her popular among major music icons. In fact, Svetha has worked with Fall Out Boy, Gwen Stefani, Iggy Azalea, Knife Party, AR Rahman and others. Raja Kumari has dropped her first studio album, "The Come Up" a few years ago. The album was appreciated worldwide. However, tracks like "Meera" and "Mute" received a lot of attention. Her last single "City Slums" featured Mumbai-based rapper, Divine. The track became an instant hit and was all over the Television and Radio air-plays. Wonder why she said "I did it all by myself"?
