A MONTH FILLED WITH AMAZING RELEASES!

2018 has been quite the year for Independent Artists in India. With the slow rise of Apple Music and other companies trying to get into the market, a lot of artists have finally been able to showcase their work to a larger audience. And when it comes to releases, August was filled with a vast variety of wonderful music! Here's a list of our favourites from the month of August: KAVYA - 'Underscore' You've probably heard of Kavya Trehan from the array of projects she has had in the music and fashion industry, but maybe mostly for her Pop/Prog Rock band MOSKO, playing all across the country showcasing her immense stage skills! August saw her taking on her own personal moniker and releasing the wonderful single 'Underscore' on Apple Music. Wondering how good it is? Well it made it to No. 1 on the charts the day after it came out and it is certainly a song to look out for. The amount of influences in the music are evident from the various musical projects Kavya has done, but her ability to make all of that gel together along with her angelic voice is just some pure musicianship at it's finest. MOCAINE - Portrait of Dali [EP]

Been a while since we had some good old Grunge right? Well if you've been looking for some new music to listen to, Mocaine's debut EP 'Portrait of Dali' is certainly something you should check out! It's raw, powerful and it sends across the message very clearly! We also did a review of the EP a while back. Jatin Talukdar Project - Divergent Theory

With the growing rise and demand for Instrumental Rock in India, Jatin Talukdar and his project from the bay are certainly living up to the long legacy of the genre, producing a solid song after the next and the month of August saw them releasing their brand new single 'Divergent Theory'. The polished sound of the song is only supported by the fiery playing of Jatin and supported brilliantly by the Bass and Drums. Take catchy melodies along with crushing riffs and a video shot in an abandoned construction site, you've got yourself a winner! HANITA BHAMBRI - 'Let Me Go'

With many releasing their albums to much success, the scope has never been better! Add Hanita Bhambri to that list. She released her first single titled 'Let Me Go' last month and since then has been whipping up a storm! Being appreciated by the likes of Salim Merchant and Ehsaan Noorani, it's safe to say that Hanita has created a masterpiece. If you're into music that gives you goosebumps every time you listen to it, Let Me Go is certainly for you:

GODLESS - From Beyond

Fresh off of a German Tour and playing the mighty Wacken Open Air Festival, Godless announced a brand new EP titled 'Swarm' and released the first single off of the EP in the last week of August! This is for all you classic Death Metal and Thrash Metal fans because this song goes full steam ahead and doesn't stop.
