Titan’s beYon Launches First Festive Campaign ‘Ye Toh Hona Hi Tha’

beYon, the lab-grown diamond jewellery brand from the House of Titan, has launched its first festive campaign, ‘Ye Toh Hona Hi Tha’, conceptualised by creative agency Chalk & Chini. The campaign positions jewellery as an expression of personal desire, encouraging consumers to indulge in pieces they love beyond traditional occasions and milestone purchases.

Tapping into the festive spirit surrounding Dussehra, Diwali, Durga Puja and Navratri, the campaign challenges the conventional perception of fine jewellery as a purchase that requires a specific occasion, ritual or investment rationale. Instead, it presents jewellery as an everyday expression of personal style and spontaneous indulgence.

The campaign features actors Sheeba Chadha, Namita Dubey and Plabita Borthakur in a series of slice-of-life films built around a ‘desire chain’. Set to the nostalgic track ‘Ek Main Aur Ek Tu’, the films capture familiar neighbourhood interactions and multigenerational family moments, showing how one person’s attraction to a sparkling piece of jewellery can inspire others to indulge.

Using humour and relatable situations, the films bring the campaign’s central message to life: the desire to adorn oneself does not always need a reason.

Shyamala Ramanan, Business Head, beYon, House of Titan, said the campaign explores how the desire for jewellery can spread through everyday social interactions.

“What we love about the films is how this moment and this desire travels. Someone sees a sparkle, wants it, and lights up the person next to them,” Ramanan said, adding that the brand aims to make such indulgence feel natural and joyful through its lab-grown diamond jewellery set in pure gold.

Isha Sahu, Founder and Creative Director, Chalk & Chini, said the creative approach deliberately moves away from the traditional format of festive jewellery advertising.

“Festive advertising in jewellery often leans into solemn heritage or heavy milestone drama. We deliberately took a light-hearted, observational route that reflects how modern Indian families actually interact,” Sahu said.

Through the campaign, beYon seeks to broaden the appeal of diamond jewellery by moving beyond purchases tied to specific milestones and encouraging consumers to choose designs simply because they like them. The campaign positions festive indulgence as a spontaneous choice, aligning the brand with changing consumer attitudes towards jewellery and personal expression.
