In a significant milestone for India's independent music scene, T-Series artist duo Garvit-Priyansh have been selected for YouTube Music's prestigious Foundry Class of 2026, becoming one of only four Indian acts chosen for this year's global cohort.
The selection places the duo among a distinguished group of emerging artists supported by the Foundry programme, which has previously helped accelerate the careers of internationally acclaimed artists such as Dua Lipa, ROSALÍA and Tems.
For Garvit-Priyansh, the recognition not only reinforces their growing influence within India's music landscape but also creates new opportunities to take their music to audiences around the world.
Known for blending Indian classical influences with contemporary songwriting and emotionally resonant storytelling, the duo have steadily built a dedicated fan base through a string of successful releases. Their inclusion in YouTube Music Foundry comes at a time when their career trajectory has been rapidly gaining momentum.
Earlier this year, acclaimed singer Arijit Singh introduced the duo's music to a wider audience when he performed their song Kaahe Mose during a live concert, describing it as one of his favourite tracks and encouraging fans to discover their work.
The endorsement was followed by a successful multi-city tour and growing digital success. Kaahe Mose has crossed 11 million views across YouTube and YouTube Music, while tracks including Theher Ja, Rang and Saawan Bhi Thehra have collectively garnered millions of streams and helped establish one of the fastest-growing fan communities among emerging Indian artists.
Reflecting on the achievement, Garvit-Priyansh said, "We're honestly still trying to process it. For years, it's just been the two of us making music we truly believed in, hoping it would find its way to the right people. To now be part of YouTube Music Foundry feels surreal.
This is a programme that's helped shape the journeys of some incredible artists, and the opportunity to learn, collaborate and grow alongside such talented people is something we're genuinely excited about.
"This moment belongs as much to our listeners as it does to us. Every stream, every message, every person who shared our music helped make this possible. We're incredibly grateful to YouTube Music for believing in us and to everyone who has been part of this journey so far. We're stepping into this chapter with a lot of gratitude, a lot of excitement, and a promise to keep making music that means something."
With their selection to the YouTube Music Foundry 2026 class, Garvit-Priyansh are poised to enter a new phase of growth, one that could significantly expand their international visibility and introduce their uniquely Indian sound to a global audience.
As Indian music continues to gain worldwide recognition, the duo's inclusion in one of the industry's most influential artist development programmes represents another strong signal of the growing global appetite for homegrown talent.
