Punjabi film industry actor Mandy Takhar has legally parted ways with her husband, Shekhar Kaushal, with the Saket Family Court in Delhi granting the first motion of their mutual divorce on Wednesday.
The couple, who got married in February 2024, approached the court seeking dissolution of marriage by mutual consent. According to sources familiar with the matter, the divorce has been filed amicably, with no alimony being sought by either party.
Celebrity lawyer Ishaan Mukherjee, who appeared on behalf of Mandy Takhar, confirmed the development, stating that the Hon’ble Family Court has allowed the first motion of divorce. However, he declined to comment on the specific terms of the settlement, citing confidentiality.
The development comes as a quiet and dignified closure to a marriage that had largely stayed away from public controversy. Neither Mandy Takhar nor Shekhar Kaushal has issued an official statement so far.
Mandy Takhar remains one of the most recognisable faces in Punjabi cinema, known for her work across films and music videos, and continues to stay focused on her professional commitments amid the personal transition.
