Sunburn Festival 2026 has announced global pop star Jason Derulo as its fourth headliner, marking the festival’s first-ever headliner from outside the electronic music genre. The artist will perform at Mumbai’s Mahalaxmi Racecourse this December, joining The Chainsmokers, Sebastian Ingrosso and DJ Snake on the festival’s lineup.
Known for global hits such as ‘Talk Dirty’, ‘Swalla’, ‘Wiggle’, ‘Whatcha Say’, ‘Want to Want Me’ and ‘Jalebi Baby’, Derulo has amassed billions of streams worldwide. The singer is also recognised for his high-energy live performances, elaborate choreography and large-scale stage production.
Derulo’s addition marks a shift in Sunburn’s programming as the festival expands beyond its electronic music roots to embrace a wider range of global sounds. While the festival has previously featured cross-genre collaborations and artists influenced by different musical styles, Derulo will be its first pop headliner.
The performance will also mark Derulo’s first time headlining in Mumbai and his biggest Indian stage to date.
“India has always shown me so much love and I’m excited to finally bring my full show to Mumbai this December. Sunburn is known for its incredible energy, I’m looking forward to matching that energy,” Derulo said.
Commenting on the announcement, Karan Singh, CEO, Sunburn, said, “Jason Derulo is one of pop’s most consistent global hitmakers and bringing him to Sunburn Festival for the first time is an important moment for us.”
Singh added that Derulo’s inclusion reflects the scale and evolution of Sunburn’s vision, noting that the live entertainment landscape is expanding beyond traditional genre boundaries. He also highlighted the artist’s strong connection with Indian audiences as a key factor behind the announcement.
For nearly two decades, Sunburn has played a role in shaping India’s electronic dance music scene, bringing international artists to the country and contributing to the growth of music-led travel and live entertainment experiences.
The 2026 edition will mark a new chapter for the festival as it moves to Mumbai’s Mahalaxmi Racecourse. The new venue is expected to bring Sunburn’s large-scale production and immersive festival experience to one of the city’s prominent event destinations.
Tuborg Zero Packaged Drinking Water Sunburn Festival 2026 is presented by RuPay and driven by Hyundai, elevated by Kinder Bueno, in association with Vedica Himalayan Spring Water, with Apple Music as its music partner.
With Derulo joining the lineup, Sunburn Festival 2026 is broadening its musical offering while continuing to build on its position in India’s live entertainment market.
