Havells India has partnered with WPP Media to roll out Havells mYOUsic, a nationwide talent development initiative focused on discovering and nurturing emerging music creators across India.
The programme spans key disciplines including singing, songwriting, composition, and music direction. Selected participants will undergo an intensive bootcamp covering creativity, copyright, publishing, and industry frameworks, with the goal of producing and releasing 25 original tracks within the year. Positioned as a multi-city, multi-year effort, the initiative aims to build a long-term pipeline for new talent.
The first phase in Delhi attracted over 350 entries across on-ground and digital formats. The programme then moved to Indore, where auditions held at SAGE University saw more than 200 artists participate, presenting original work and interacting with mentors through a structured audition process. Further city expansions are expected to be announced soon.
Havells and WPP Media bring a long-standing partnership of over two decades to the initiative, combining brand scale with media and content expertise.
Mukesh Kumar Jain, Vice President at Havells India, said the programme reflects the brand’s commitment to enabling creative potential. He noted that Havells mYOUsic aims to give artists not just exposure, but also the tools and knowledge to own their work and build sustainable careers.
Vinit Karnik, Managing Director – Entertainment, Sports, Partnership and Content at WPP Media, added that the initiative goes beyond talent discovery to create a long-term music IP. He highlighted its focus on rights awareness, artist ownership, and sustained career development, supported by strategic use of social platforms, influencer collaborations, and targeted outreach.
With Havells mYOUsic, the companies are positioning the programme as a cultural platform, one that connects grassroots talent with industry access while building a scalable ecosystem for India’s next generation of artists.
