Ankur Tewari Celebrates 25 Years In Music With New Single ‘Kasam Se’

Singer-songwriter, lyricist and composer Ankur Tewari has unveiled his latest single, "Kasam Se," marking the next chapter in his ongoing musical project Mr. Faarigh. Released on July 3, the track arrives as Tewari celebrates 25 years of a career that has played a significant role in shaping India's independent music movement.

Following the release of "1:15 AM (After Hours)," which introduced listeners to the world of Mr. Faarigh through the sounds and rhythms of the city at night, "Kasam Se" shifts the focus inward. The new song explores the emotional aftermath of repeated disappointment, examining how heartbreak can gradually chip away at self-belief and trust.

Rather than dwelling on betrayal itself, the track reflects on the internal questions that follow, encouraging listeners to hold onto vulnerability and kindness despite emotional setbacks. The title also continues the thematic journey of Mr. Faarigh, a concept inspired by the Urdu and Arabic word faarigh, which conveys meanings such as free, unhurried, unfinished and at leisure. Across the project, Tewari embraces these ideas as symbols of humanity, imperfection and personal growth.

Speaking about the song, Tewari said, "'Kasam Se' is a vow to hold on. To cup that last ember of wonder in your hands and refuse to let the cold put it out. To walk through a world that has shown you its teeth and still believe in magic. To love again, fully, recklessly, as though your heart has never learned what breaking feels like."
