Amaan Ali Bangash and Ayaan Ali Bangash Announce Their Third EP - We For Love .A Presentation Featuring Karan Johar, Amjad Ali Khan, Karsh Kale, Malini Awasthi, Mahesh Kale, Shubha Mudgal And Paresh Maity.  An Initiative To Support Justice For Every Child Campaign Against Child Sexual Abuse Launched By Kailash Satyarthi Children’s Foundation .They joined Loudest for a candid chat about their third EP We for love and about their journey. Excerpts from an edited interview:

Q1.Hello! We would love to know about your journey in this industry so far.

Amaan: Like cosmic divinity, music knows few barriers or boundaries. However, often in the race for cultural superiority we pit one order against the other. The impact of this conflict phenomenon is called fusion music, a rage among the current generation of music-lovers, which sees the world as a global village. Every collaboration has a vision and a concept. It’s not about just playing alongside each other but more importantly, the music should be like a bouquet of flowers.

Ayaan: The universal concept of togetherness and unity has a beautiful message through the world. Today, the audience knows what they like and also what they don’t like. You cannot impose an artist on anyone. There is no rule book to creativity or a guide to how classical music should be presented. As long as it’s appealing, you are sorted. MY father in fact has been a traditional ‘outside the box.’ He enjoys all his collaborations and wants to reinvent his ideas and thoughts constantly.

Q2.Tell us more about your third EP-We for love?

Amaan: The EP aims to raise awareness and proceeds for the ‘Justice For Every Child’ campaign that was launched by Kailash Satyarthi Children’s Foundation.

We were very honored to have performed at the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony and at the Peace Prize concert back in 2014 when Kailash Satyarthi and Malala Yusufzai got the Peace Prize so ever since we wanted to take forward the message of Satyarthi Foundation. ‘We For Love’ was an idea that became a reality very organically.

Ayaan: ‘We For Love’ has indeed been a defining journey for us as artists and as fellow human beings. We are so honoured to have a galaxy of artists who are such game changers in their field. Creatively it was a desire to work with all of them for years but perhaps this cause got us all together as all the artists resonated with the ethos of the campaign. It all happened post the Delta variant time so technology was very handy for files to go back and forth. I think we completed the EP in less than three months! This national campaign is working to ensure victims of child sexual abuse and rape get timely justice and mental health support to enable them to heal and continue their lives with dignity and freedom.

Q3.What does ‘We for love’ aim for?

Amaan: Music is a powerful medium that connects humankind. No one has the right to take a child’s innocence and childhoods away. The idea was to create endless pathways to make a positive impact which is both uplifting and action-inspiring. The prolific Paresh Maity has been instrumental in creating the cover art of the presentation and has taken inspiration from his Odyssey of Celebration XII. It was always a desire to work with all these artists but due to all our schedule’s one didn’t really reach out. However, perhaps it took a sentiment as powerful as this to get us all together.

Q4.An initiative has taken to support justice for every child campaign against child sexual abuse launched by Kailash Satyarthi children foundation.Elaborate about this initiative more?

Amaan: Children are our future and their protection is an issue which should concern all of us. Kailash Satyarthi Children’s Foundation ‘Justice 4 Every Child’Campaign has been working towards proving legal and mental health support to child victims of sexual abuse by intervening in 5000 strategic cases across 100 districts in the country.

Ayaan: Donate to the  ‘Justice 4 Every Child’ campaign to ensure child victims of rape and sexual abuse receive the much needed support in their quest for justice. We have to do this together! I pray that only love and compassion should be inject and transmitted among children of the world for their bright future. It is our duty to grant peace and smiles to the younger generation of today and tomorrow so that they can achieve their destination and goal, without fail.

 Q5.What are your upcoming projects?

Amaan: Hoping that live events gain momentum again and the planet heals with kinder and happier times. We are scheduled to be teaching at University of New Mexico in spring and also have shows in the US and Europe.

Ayaan: We have some more unique collaborations lined up for this year. I am very excited about those and also some film scores. Stay tuned!!
