Nomads By Magnetic Fields Debuts As An Intentional, Community-Driven Music And Culture Festival

In a live entertainment landscape increasingly defined by excess and over-stimulation, Magnetic Fields is charting a quieter, more deliberate path. The iconic festival brand has announced Nomads by Magnetic Fields, a new three-day immersive music and culture gathering designed to prioritise connection, intention and community over scale and spectacle.

Set against the glowing sandstone backdrop of Abheygarh Khetri in Rajasthan, Nomads will take place from February 13 to 15, 2026, transforming the historic fort and its surrounding landscapes into a deeply immersive cultural environment. Ticket registrations are now open.

Born from Magnetic Fields’ long-standing philosophy of bridging musical traditions and communities, Nomads extends the festival’s ethos beyond electronic music into a more expansive, reflective terrain, bringing together folk, classical, contemporary and experimental sounds from India and across the world.

A Curated Soundscape Across Thoughtfully Designed Stages

The debut edition’s programming reflects a commitment to future-facing, boundary-pushing music, with artists who are shaping global conversations across electronic, ambient, folk and club cultures.

At the Jameson Connects West Stage, nestled amid the Aravalli hills, audiences will experience genre-defying performances from artists such as Malian guitar virtuoso Vieux Farka Touré, global electronic fusion act Auntie Flo Band, UK electronic pioneer Rival Consoles (making his India debut), Taiwanese artist Whyte, Indian electronica favourite Curtain Blue, and the Indofuturist audiovisual project Elsewhere in India. The stage also features acclaimed Indian voices including Rounik Maiti, RANJ x CLIFR, sudan, and Karshini.

The BUDx East Stage anchors Nomads’ dance music programming, spotlighting selectors and producers who have shaped club culture worldwide. Highlights include Mafalda, Elias Mazian, Kim Ann Foxman, Kia, DJ Swisha, and a closing extended set by boundary-pushing DJ and producer D. Tiffany, alongside Indian artist Tonkatsukitty.

Spaces for Slowness, Listening and Discovery

Nomads places equal emphasis on stillness and reflection. The Stepwell, one of the festival’s most distinctive new spaces, is dedicated to ambient, meditative and exploratory sound. Artists such as Akanbi, Fursat FM, Barker, pause.dxa, Tyrell Dub Corp, and Sunju Hargun will create immersive soundscapes designed for contemplation rather than consumption.

Meanwhile, Ray-Ban Easy Picnic offers a vinyl-only listening space, opening with a six-hour set by Antariksh Daddy, followed by selectors like Jogita, No Plastic, and Mafalda. The Corona Sundowner, perched on the rooftops of the fort, brings live electronic and DJ sets framed by sweeping forest views.

The circular BUDxYurt serves as a late-night refuge for dancefloor explorations, featuring showcases by Disco>ery Sports Club, Akanbi, Direct Drive x Jay Drive, and an extended closing set by No Plastic.

Rooted in Tradition, Storytelling and Wellbeing

Nomads also deepens Magnetic Fields’ engagement with heritage and storytelling. Ray-Ban Puqaar returns as a space for spiritual folk and contemplative performance, with acts like Sahaja, The Art of Qawwali, and an ambient closing performance by Yakh Basta.

Beyond music, the festival introduces Moving Stories, an intimate storytelling format that takes small groups beyond the fort into the surrounding landscape, blending history, memory, music and chance encounters.

The much-loved Sanctuary returns as a space for rest and renewal, hosting daily sharing circles, workshops, sound baths and wellness practices. Co-curated by psychologists and sound therapists Priyanjali Das and Kripi Malviya, it reflects Nomads’ focus on mental health, care and presence within festival culture.

Food, Memory and Hospitality

Completing the experience is Chef’s Table by Hoegaarden, an intimate culinary gathering for just 18 guests. Hosted by Abhimanyu Alsisar, the experience brings together personal recipes and regional traditions, served in the palace’s hand-painted restaurant, encouraging slow dining and meaningful conversation.

A New Chapter for Magnetic Fields

With Nomads, Magnetic Fields signals a conscious evolution, one that responds to a growing appetite for festivals that feel grounded, humane and culturally rich. By weaving together music, wellness, storytelling, food and place, Nomads positions itself not just as a festival, but as a temporary community shaped by listening, presence and shared experience.

In an era of constant noise, Nomads invites audiences to slow down, tune in and rediscover what it means to gather with intention.
