With the resumption of International flights on a regular basis, brings music to the years of classical music maestros as the santoor legend embarks on a multi city tour of USA next week after almost two years. He is taking the Pacific route to the US to avoid flying over Europe with the Russia-Ukraine war being a threat to a safe passage.
Pt Tarun Bhattacharya is flying off to the US on March 23 to perform in seven concerts. “I am flying to Delhi and then to Tokyo. From there, I will fly to Los Angeles. I want to avoid flying over Europe. Therefore, I am taking the Pacific route,” the maestro informed. He is slated to fly out again in July for the NABC Bengali Conference to be held in Hollywood and I once again return, to US tour in September,” he added.
Maestro Tarun Bhattacharya feels the audiences abroad have started returning to music concerts. “The turnout has increased following a strict COVID protocol of RTPCR tests being carried out on the performers as well as the audience and waiting period of 10 minutes for test results conveyed over the mobile phones allows them an entry, concluded an optimist Bhattacharya.
This unique collaboration launches across three cities with carefully curated performances celebrating international and Indian musical legends.
