Mumbai witnessed a musical storm last night as over 10,000 fans gathered at Jio World Garden to experience the Capmania Tour, a high-octane, nostalgia-soaked concert headlined by none other than Himesh Reshammiya, and produced by Saregama Live. The sold out, packed-to-capacity concert got every single person dancing on their feet, lost in music.
The crowd erupted as the superstar rockstar, hit machine took over the stage, belting out era-defining anthems like Aashiqui Mein Teri, Tera Suroor, Jhalak Dikhla Ja, Dil ke Taaj Mahal mein, and Aashiqui Banaya Aapne. The venue transformed into a sea of lights, voices, heartbreaks, love, and unfiltered joy — a testament to the timeless impact of Himesh’s music. With over 2000 songs to his name, and a record-breaking album that stands as the second highest selling in the world after Michael Jackson, the night was a tribute to a legacy built on unforgettable melodies and massive fan love.
A known champion of fresh talent, Himesh Reshammiya’s love for discovering and supporting new voices was evident throughout the night. Sharing the stage with him was Pragati Nagpal, the lead female vocalist of the tour, whose powerful vocals and Gen Z charm brought a contemporary edge to the concert. Himesh’s mentorship shone through in every duet and harmony they shared. The evening also saw high-energy opening acts by Arjun Tanwar and Maahi, who set the tone with their energetic performances and proved why they’re names to watch out for.
“ I’ve waited a long time for, to bring something truly special to my fans, something they’ll remember forever,” said Himesh Reshammiya post-show. “Capmania is not just a concert, it’s a celebration of every memory, every emotion, and every song we’ve shared over the years. Seeing the crowd sing back every word, that connect - that’s what it’s all about.”
Siddharth Anand Kumar, Senior Vice President – Films & Events, Saregama, shared his thoughts on the show’s success:“Capmania is something we envisioned as a celebration of an icon and his deep bond with his audience. At Saregama, we believe in curating experiences that go beyond music — they bring people together through nostalgia, emotion, and legacy. Himesh didn’t just perform; he united fans across age groups in a night they’ll never forget. And this is just the beginning.”
The Capmania Tour now heads to its next destination on 19th July, and if last night was any indication, the fever has only just begun.
