Fabelle Taps Indian Classical Music For New Luxury Chocolate Collection

Luxury chocolate brand Fabelle, from ITC Ltd., has launched its Nav-Ras Collection, bringing together handcrafted chocolates and Indian classical music to interpret the nine human emotions, or Navarasas.

Created in collaboration with ITC Sangeet Research Academy (SRA), the collection features nine handcrafted pralines, each inspired by a distinct emotion and paired with an original musical interpretation. The compositions can be accessed through a QR code inside the collection’s box, allowing consumers to experience the emotions through both taste and sound.

The nine rasas represented in the collection are Shringara (love), Hasya (joy), Karuna (compassion), Raudra (passion and intensity), Veera (courage), Bhayanaka (anticipation), Bibhatsa (the unexpected), Adbhuta (wonder) and Shanta (serenity).

Fabelle’s master chocolatiers have interpreted each emotion through the flavours, textures and shapes of the pralines, while musicians and artists from ITC Sangeet Research Academy have created corresponding musical compositions.

Among the creations, Shringara takes the form of a heart-shaped chocolate made with ruby chocolate and Aqua Rose. Raudra draws inspiration from the third eye, combining dark chocolate with ancho chilli and candied mango. Veera features 70% dark chocolate and macadamia, while Shanta combines acacia honey and milk chocolate mousse in a white rose-inspired design.

The collection was unveiled at ITC Grand Central in Mumbai at an event featuring live musical performances and chocolate experiences. The launch was attended by classical music maestros Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty and Pandit Ulhas Kashalkar, alongside Saradindu Dutta, Executive Director, ITC Sangeet Research Academy.

Commenting on the launch, Subash Balar, Vice President and Business Head – Chocolates, Coffee and Confectionery & NCD, Foods Division, ITC Ltd., said the collection reflects the brand’s approach to combining craftsmanship and creativity, translating emotions into chocolate through flavour, texture and form.

Saradindu Dutta said the collaboration explores how Indian classical music and chocolate can express the same emotions through different sensory experiences.

Priced at ₹2,395, the Fabelle Nav-Ras Collection will be available at select Fabelle boutiques and through online channels.

With this launch, Fabelle extends its luxury chocolate offering beyond flavour, using music and cultural storytelling to create a multisensory consumer experience.
