Radiowalla Enters African Market With Exclusive Retail Audio Deal In Botswana

Radiowalla Network Limited [NSE: INE430U01019], a publicly listed pioneer in custom audio content and corporate radio services, has announced a tripartite agreement with Botswana-based Electro-Metic Enterprises and Shine Bright Proprietary Limited. This strategic collaboration marks Radiowalla’s formal entry into the African retail media landscape, beginning with approximately 300 retail outlets operated by Electro-Metic, including the well-known Choppies and Liquorama chains.

Under the terms of this five-year exclusive agreement, Shine Bright will act as the regional commercial partner, overseeing advertiser outreach and promotional initiatives across Southern Africa. The deal enables Shine to exclusively market and distribute Radiowalla’s suite of services — spanning in-store radio, digital signage, corporate audio, and point-of-purchase advertising — to retail partners in the region.

This partnership not only allows Electro-Metic to enhance the in-store experience across its retail footprint with curated music, promotional content, and immersive audio engagement, but also creates a monetization framework for third-party advertising within Botswana’s retail ecosystem. At the same time, it reinforces Radiowalla’s position as a scalable and innovative platform for global retail media.

Harvinderjit Singh Bhatia, CEO and Co-Founder of Radiowalla, called the move a significant milestone in the company’s international roadmap, saying, “This collaboration with Shine marks a critical step in our global roadmap. We’re proud to bring Radiowalla’s immersive audio engagement services to Botswana’s vibrant retail sector, starting with ~300 retail locations of Electro-Metic.”

Echoing this sentiment, Sagar Joshi, Director at Shine Bright, added, “Our alliance with Radiowalla reflects a shared vision to deliver high-impact, localized customer experiences that drive both brand recall and footfalls.”

Karthik Rajendran, Senior Representative of Electro-Metic Enterprises, emphasized the transformative potential of the partnership: “Partnering with Radiowalla and Shine enables us to bring world-class in-store audio and engagement solutions to retail environments in Botswana. This collaboration reflects our commitment to integrating smart, customer-focused innovations that enhance the shopping experience and drive value for our clients.”

The agreement was formally disclosed to the National Stock Exchange of India under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements), 2015.
