As conversations around music credibility, data transparency, and fan power grow louder, JioSaavn’s India Superhit Awards are emerging as a benchmark for listener-led recognition in the Indian music ecosystem.
In a recent LinkedIn post, Neetu Puri, Vice President and Head of Music Programming at JioSaavn, reflected on her over two-decade-long journey in the music industry and highlighted the India Superhit Awards as one of the most meaningful projects she has been part of.
“In an industry often shaped by biases, favouritism, Auto-Tune, and at times non-singers (influencers), India Superhit Awards stands as a proud reminder of what truly creates a HIT: the listeners,” Puri wrote.
Positioning the awards as possibly among the only ones in India , if not globally, driven purely by real streaming data, real listeners, real love, and real impact, Puri emphasised that the platform removes subjective curation in favour of measurable audience behaviour.
According to her, the 2025 edition of the awards paints a powerful picture of India’s evolving music landscape. Emerging artists, non-film music, and international collaborations competed and won , alongside mainstream hits, underlining a truly pan-India celebration of sound and culture.
Puri also acknowledged the extensive effort behind the scenes, congratulating the winning artists and partners while giving special credit to the JioSaavn teams who helped bring the awards to life. “This isn’t just an award. It’s India’s music culture made visible, and we built it together,” she noted.
The platform has also released an official India Superhit Awards winning playlist, featuring winners across languages and regions, further reinforcing the awards’ commitment to inclusivity and data-backed recognition.
As India’s streaming economy continues to redefine success metrics, the India Superhit Awards signal a clear shift: from industry gatekeeping to audience-driven validation, where listeners, not labels or trends, ultimately decide what becomes a superhit.
