Delhi's T20 cricket action is set to return as the Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2026 gets underway from 31 July to 2 August at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. Featuring eight city-based franchises, the tournament promises an exciting mix of cricket, entertainment and local rivalries, with thumpN announced as the league's official ticketing partner.
Representing different parts of the capital, the competing teams include Central Delhi Kings, Purani Dilli 6, South Delhi Superstarz, East Delhi Riders, West Delhi Lions, New Delhi Tigers, North Delhi Strikers, and Outer Delhi Warriors. The tournament will see the teams battle for early-season supremacy as Delhi's cricket fans rally behind their local sides.
Adding to the opening weekend festivities, Punjabi music stars Sukhbir and Sunanda Sharma will headline the opening ceremony. Sukhbir is expected to perform his iconic hit Ishq Tera Tadpave (Oh Ho Ho Ho), while Sunanda Sharma will entertain audiences with her popular Punjabi chartbusters, bringing together live music and cricket in a celebratory opening.
