Sargam Vaish Accuses ‘The Vvaan’ Makers Of Using ‘Aigiri Nandini’ Without Permission, Warns Legal Action

Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia-starrer ‘The Vvaan – Force of the Forrest’ has landed in a music-related controversy ahead of its September 25 release, with vocalist and composer Sargam Vaish accusing the makers of using his version of ‘Aigiri Nandini’ in the film’s trailer without his permission.

Vaish took to Instagram to raise the issue, claiming that around 25 seconds of his track feature in the trailer. He alleged that the makers used his master recording, production and vocals without seeking his consent or providing credit.

According to Vaish, he had been working on the song for nearly three years and had already signed the work with a major music label. He said the alleged unauthorised use could also affect his existing agreement and urged the team to remove the music from both the trailer and the film.

Vaish has also warned that his legal team could take action if the song is not removed. He further questioned how his unreleased master recording reached the film’s makers.

The controversy comes days before the film’s theatrical release. Directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra, ‘The Vvaan – Force of the Forrest’ stars Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia, alongside Shweta Tiwari, Maniesh Paul and Anup Soni.

As of the latest reports, the makers have not publicly responded to Vaish’s allegations.
