MNV Makes His Music Debut With ‘Gadbadi’ Under Times Music’s ffs. Records

Delhi-based singer-songwriter MNV, pronounced Manav, has made his debut with his first single, ‘Gadbadi’, released today.

MNV’s sound moves against the stripped-back trend in contemporary music, embracing a maximalist, retro-inspired style designed for the dance floor. His musical influences span Hindustani and Western classical vocals, while he writes in four languages and brings years of live performance experience to his music.

"I don't really remember a time before music," says MNV. "Even in school, I'd be tucked away in the back bench with a notebook- not taking notes, writing lyrics. That's just always been in me. Training classically in Hindustani and Western vocals, writing in four languages, and having spent years as a live performer means I've got a lot of ways to tell a story, and I can't wait to share them in this first chapter finally."

The release comes as Times Music’s ffs. Records continues its focus on discovering and developing emerging independent artists, with an aim to take India’s next wave of talent to global audiences.
