The Music Managers Forum (MMF) and YouTube Music have unveiled MMF HyperDrive, a new professional development initiative designed to accelerate the growth of independent music managers across the UK. The programme succeeds the long-running Accelerator Programme, which has supported more than 150 managers through funding, training and mentorship since its launch in 2019.
Scheduled to run from September 2026 to January 2027, the four-month programme will focus on helping managers strengthen their businesses through in-depth sessions on capacity building, business strategy and essential management skills.
Participants will also receive advanced training on YouTube's latest services and AI productivity tools, travel bursaries to attend key music conferences, access to MMF events, and tickets to the 2026 Artist & Manager Awards.
The programme will conclude with a three-day residential retreat, while participants will also have the opportunity to gain recognition through the MMF's recently launched Manager Certification Programme.
Unlike its predecessor, MMF HyperDrive is aimed at independent managers whose clients generate annual revenues of at least £50,000 and who are looking to scale their businesses. Managers working independently, within companies or through joint ventures will all be eligible to apply.
The initiative builds on the success of the MMF and YouTube Music's longstanding partnership, which has played a key role in supporting the next generation of artist managers and strengthening the UK's independent music management sector.
